In Genesis 11, we see the union of people and see they communicated with few words. “Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And the Lord said, “Indeed, the people are one, and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.” They were so united communicating telepathically. God saw this and he came down and took away meaning from them so they were confused and divided. Think about prophecy and word of knowledge. Is it not us knowing the mind of others a telepathic manner, having one mind without words? With one mind, we do things quicker and in harmony. That’s how they built the Tower of Babel. So now in our division of languages, we still have groups that speak the same language, but we still do not have one mind or meaning. This is why there is war and no peace. Peace will not be here till he comes. For that which was taken away must come back for all to have peace. Even among the body of Christ, we do not have one mind unless we are walking with the spirit and speaking in spirit and truth. For he said, “He who is joined with God is one with God, one spirit with him.” So a language from heaven is given to us that we have one line of communication. Isaiah 35. So we speak to stir up the spirit, the gist of God that is in you, your most holy faith that gives guidance to our lives, to remove us from our mundane lives, and to walk in the revelation of the spirit. I was watching Superman and Lois on HBO one time, and this guy was just always getting beat up. And after the fight, is when he would go to the sun, and I just said to God, “If this guy and egg, why not just go to the sun at the beginning, charge up before the fight?” And he looked at me, and truly I forgot what he said, but it was along the lines of, “You do the same thing.” For us believers, speaking in tongues is our power up and charge, and we need to be in constant charge before and after the fight. The second thing is speaking with knowledge. When you start to speak in tongues, you begin to receive thoughts and commands that change your regular routine and direction because the Lord is desiring to use you to do his works. You start walking in the spirit and moving with God. This is how you learn the ways of the spirit by speaking. See in the book of Acts how each one was led to move and act, and you also see when people refused to listen. God directed Paul, and he ignored it, and the brother was tied up and thrown in jail to die. A mistake he made, but God used it to still continue what he wanted to use him for. It is this obedience we must train. Those that obeyed we saw the results: the furthering of the gospel, for there is a way that is right to man but leads to destruction. These impressions on the heart only come if you speak the communication. This is a gift and an evidence for all Christians, not a select but all. Do not limit the expression of the spirit and walk worth of the calling you have received. Blessed be the King of Glory who has given us all gifts under the heavens to change and bring his will to man. Amen.
